World Coconut Day is celebrated annually on September 2nd to recognize the cultural, economic, and nutritional importance of the coconut, which is often called the “Tree of Life” for its many uses. The day was established by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) in 2009 to promote the coconut industry and highlight its significance in tropical regions and across the globe.
