September 23rd is the International Day of Sign Languages, a United Nations observance established to raise awareness about the importance of sign languages for the Deaf community and to advocate for their recognition as full languages. The day promotes the linguistic diversity and cultural identity of people who use sign languages and emphasizes the need for early and quality access to sign language and sign language services. It was first celebrated in 2018 during International Week of the Deaf and has since become an annual event. Sign Language for Kids video
